In other words, our exit will be clean, without stress, and fun. And all this âwork and responsibilityâ is so our journey back out of the cave can be completed without a hiccup or hesitation and without any need for an in-situ debate. In the simplest terms, weâve agreed to get everyone to where we want to go, and - far more important - that on the way there, weâll make the best effort possible to lay a breadcrumb trail to point the way back to where we started. From one perspective - an important one - our job as lead diver is to keep our buddy(ies) safe, focused, aware and informed. When we agree to lead a cave dive, we have - in effect - accepted a heightened responsibility. This is the Milne model (already linked above).Thoughts about the importance of body position and cave diving. Just let all the galaxies start at a point in Minkowski space and move inertially after that with velocities that are evenly distributed in (four-)velocity space. This isn't correct it's easy to construct a toy cosmology where Hubble's law applies equally everywhere and the redshift is manifestly a Doppler shift, correctly given by the special relativistic formula. " For a doppler interpretation of the redshift distant galaxies we must necessarily assume that we are in a special place, to the discomfort of Copernicus.
